Southern Candied Sweet Potaotes

Par boil sweet potatoes for about 20-25 minutes . Drain and peel.

Make the simple syrup. Let it boil and reduce by half

Slice the sweet potatoes length wise in large chunks and place in a baking dish. Pour simple syrup over the sweet potatoes.

Dot with Butter and top with cinnamon and sugar . Then bake uncovered for 25 minutes , Allow them to sit another 25 minutes in the oven .
