Peach and Cherry Amaretto Crisp

medium fresh peaches -peeled and sliced

of pitted fresh cherries

lemon juiced

granulated sugar

amaretto
shot glass-a teaspoon of almond extract could used as a substitute
Topping
1/4
cup
chopped slivered almonds
3/4
cup
oats
1/2
cup
light brown sugar
1/2
cup
all purpose flour

melted butter
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and spray a 2 qaurt baking dish with cooking spray
In a medium bowl mix all the ingredients for the topping
Pour melted butter over the dry topping ingredients
Mix the melted butter into the dry ingredients until incorporated well and set aside
In a large bowl place peeled and sliced peaches ans pitted cherries and squeeze a half a lemon over them and lightly toss
Add sugar , flour and amaretto and lightly toss
Pour peach and cherry mixture into the prepared dish
Sprinkle the topping over the mixture evenly
Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes or until lightly golden brown and its bubbly
Let sit for about 30 minutes and serve with ice cream or whipped cream
Notes
Frozen cherries and peaches can always be used if these fruit are not in season
