Peach and Cherry Amaretto Crisp

Ingredients
  

  • 4 medium fresh peaches -peeled and sliced
  • 2 cups of pitted fresh cherries
  • 1/2 lemon juiced
  • 2 Tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 oz amaretto shot glass-a teaspoon of almond extract could used as a substitute

Topping

  • 1/4 cup chopped slivered almonds
  • 3/4 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 6 Tablespoons melted butter

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees and spray a 2 qaurt baking dish with cooking spray
  • In a medium bowl mix all the ingredients for the topping
  • Pour melted butter over the dry topping ingredients
  • Mix the melted butter into the dry ingredients until incorporated well and set aside
  • In a large bowl place peeled and sliced peaches ans pitted cherries and squeeze a half a lemon over them and lightly toss
  • Add sugar , flour and amaretto and lightly toss
  • Pour peach and cherry mixture into the prepared dish
  • Sprinkle the topping over the mixture evenly
  • Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes or until lightly golden brown and its bubbly
  • Let sit for about 30 minutes and serve with ice cream or whipped cream

Notes

Frozen cherries and peaches can always be used if these fruit are not in season
