This old fashion pea salad is just like Grandma used to make. The sweet peas go so good with the savory cheese and bacon. This creamy salad is a BBQ must.
Start by boiling your eggs and cooking your bacon. Dice and let them cool *See note below
Put the frozen peas in a colander and run cold water over them until they are defrosted
Place defrosted peas into a large mixing bowl and add diced onion , diced celery , shredded cheese , diced eggs and bacon.
Mix together gently
Add Mayo , salt, pepper and stir gently careful not to break the peas
The pea salad is ready to serve . It is even better after it chills a few hours. This salad in is good covered in the Fridge up to 3 days

Notes
At most supermarket they have already boiled eggs and already cooked bacon. The bacon needs to be crisped up in the microwave . Both of these items are huge time savers.I usually grate my own cheese but already shredded can be used
