Ingredients

  • 8 oz Pillsbury Original Crescent rolls
  • vegetable oil for frying
  • 1/2 cup Powdered Sugar

Instructions

  • In a frying pan with at least 2 inches of oil heat it up to between 325-350. I used a kitchen thermometer for this, the dough fries quickly.
  • On a floured surface roll out the crescent dough and press out the perforations
  • With a pizza cutter cut small rectangles
  • I worked with 3-4 pieces at a time drop the dough in the oil
  • As soon as it puffs up flip over the dough
  • Once both sides are golden brown remove the fried dough with a metal slotted spoon and drain them on paper towels
  • Continue frying until done
  • Serve hot and sprinkled liberally with sifted powdered sugar

Notes

If you can find the Pillsbury Crescent Dough Sheet without perforations it can be used also
