In a frying pan with at least 2 inches of oil heat it up to between 325-350. I used a kitchen thermometer for this, the dough fries quickly.
On a floured surface roll out the crescent dough and press out the perforations
With a pizza cutter cut small rectangles
I worked with 3-4 pieces at a time drop the dough in the oil
As soon as it puffs up flip over the dough
Once both sides are golden brown remove the fried dough with a metal slotted spoon and drain them on paper towels
Continue frying until done
Serve hot and sprinkled liberally with sifted powdered sugar
