Peel and Dice your peaches . Place them in a bowl with 1/4 cup sugar , salt and lemon juice . Allow them to macerate for 45 minutes to an hour
2-3 cups diced fresh peaches , 1 1/4 cup granulated sugar , 1/4 teaspoon salt , 1 Tablespoon Lemon juice
While the peaches are setting warm the one cup of milk in the microwave about 1 1/2-2 minutes. You want it just hot enough to dissolve the remaining cup of sugar. Stir together with the sugar., stir until the sugar is dissolved . Set aside and let cool.
1 cup whole milk, 1 1/4 cup granulated sugar
Once the peaches are done place them in a food processor or blender along with the juice the made and blend well. You can leave small chunks if you like but not too big
Stir the milk and sugar mixture together with the peach puree
Whisk in the heavy cream and vanilla
2 cups heavy cream , 1 teaspoon vanilla extracts
Pour into a an ice cream freezer
Freeze according to the manufactures instructions
I used an old fashioned Ice cream freezer and it took 45 minutes to an hour to freeze. If you like soft serve it is ready to eat
If you want a firmer ice cream spread into a freezer container
Cover and freeze at least 8 hours
Serve alone or with a few slices of peaches . Store in a covered container in the freezer for up to 2 weeks .
