You can you any dark cola but no Diet colas.
You can use what ever BBQ sauce is your favorite, this is mine.
I have made this in the oven , the trick is to keep it covered and cook it on a low temp for at least 4-6 hours
Does this freeze well?
I have not froze this particular recipe but I have others . I recommend saving some of the rendered juices and freezing already shredded in that . Once defrosted and heated you may have to add a bit more BBQ sauce.
Loved the pulled pork – the recipe could not have been any easier!
I used a pork loin and my favorite BBQ sauce.
We certainly enjoyed this!
I am so glad you enjoyed it !! It is certainly easy.
Hi,
Do you think diet Dr Pepper could work with sweet baby rays sugar free barbecue sauce? My mother in law is diabetic and trying to come up with a good recipe for Memorial Day. She loves Diet Dr Pepper so this sounds good. Or do you need sugar to get caramelized?
It may not carmalized as much but i think it will be ok.
Dr. Pepper Zero works a lot better than Diet Dr. Pepper and tastes more like regular Dr Pepper. Also, since I am from Texas and Stubbs barbecue dauce is from Texas, they make a barbecue sauce with Allulose that tastes like the original sauce.
