A few weeks ago I was in New Orleans for a two day high school wrestling tournament. I don’t know if any of you have experienced watching your kid get on a wrestling mat for 6 minutes but it is pretty intense. When things end for the evening the boys go back to their hotel rooms and the parents find a place to eat and unwind for the evening. We usually find a Mexican place since we are all in need of a good margarita, but we were in New Orleans . In my minds eye I saw an evening of charbroiled oysters, shrimp po-boys and hurricanes and it was shot down by needing to find the nearest Mexican restaurant. Who knew such a thing existed in The Big Easy?? Well it was still totally delicious and I was introduced to a Bacon Bean cheese dip and I knew I needed to come home and make this for my family. If you like dips check out this Taco Cheese Dip .
