These Mango Key Lime Margaritas are the perfect adult beverage with a Tex-Mex flair . This margarita is made in an ice cream maker and is thick and slushy. I am so excited about this recipe !! Have you ever had a margarita made in an ice cream maker ? Well, I am here to tell you that you won’t want them any other way. Freezing these frosty beverages like this makes them a slushy perfection. Another reason I am excited is I got to use my cute parrot margarita glasses I got 75% off at Pier One last year. They are adorable and I just love them.
Mangoes are one of those fruits that I was indifferent about until recently. One night at a Mexican restaurant I wanted a frozen margarita. After their busy supper rush the only thing that was frozen and ready to serve was their Mango Margaritas. Reluctantly I gave it a whirl and was so happy it was buy one get one free night . Ever since then I have been ordering this type of margarita everywhere I go, necessary research LOL. After experimenting a bit I realized I needed lime juice to cut the sweetness and give the citrus flavor . I adore key lime anything so I decided to use key lime juice instead of plain lime juice, the result was fabulous. This is my favorite summer beverage..now bring on the warm weather !!
