Let’s Make The Best Macaroni Salad !!
Boil your macaroni noodles about 10 minutes , or to the packages directions . Drain and rinse well until all of the noodles are cool. Rinsing the noodles washes away all of the starches and cooling it down keeps the noodles from sticking together .
While the noodles are cooking prepare all of your vegetables. This does take a little while .
In a large mixing bowl mix together the drained noodles , shredded carrots and cucumbers .
Mix in the onions , celery and Bell pepper .
Mix in the pickles, radishes and boiled eggs .
In a medium bowl whisk together the mayo , thousand island dressing , salt , pepper ,and Tony’s. Pour over the salad a little at a time mixing as you go.
Once mixed taste it and season to your liking. Cover and chill for several hours . This is a massive salad , I weighed it and it weighed a little over 10 pounds so this needs a very large bowl .

Yes I recommend it. It washes away all the unwanted starches and also rinsing until cool prevents them some sticking together
Yes and No. No you don’t have to but it is better if you make ahead of time and let it chill
Yes , this makes a ton so this can be cut in half .
Bbq season is just around the corner. Salads are always needed, and macaroni salad is a must at any gathering. I will add this into my rotation. The guests will love it.
Also, you might want to add small, diced cheddar cheese cubes, and sliced black olives to this recipe, quantities of as desired. And, adding 1 to 3 Tbsp. of any type of mustard will also enhance the flavor of this salad.
After preparing (if possible) let your salad rest for 6 to 8 hours in the refrigerator. This additional time allows for all the various flavors to be incorporated into the ingredients of this salad.
Those sound like great additions Jim!
