Notes

Dice the apples small so they cook well . I used honey crisp or Gala
If you make your fritters bigger they will take a little longer to cook
Do not get your oil to hot or you will have an under done fritter on the inside
These are best eaten fresh but if you have leftover I recommend heating them in the microwave or even the sire fryer .

Do I have to use self rising flour ?

You make your own by adding 1 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder and 1/4 teaspoon of salt to every cup of flour

Do I have to use milk?

You can use a like substitute soy or a nut milk

Do I have to use an oil thermometer ?

No I grew up in a house that my mother would drop water in the hot oil to see if it is ready. A thermometer does help you keep from getting the oil too hot . If the oil is too hot you will have an under done fritter in the center.

How long are there good for ?

Honestly they are best fresh but they can be reheated in the microwave or air fryer

What kind of apples can I use ?

Any type. I like to use a Gala or Honeycrisp . I found the Granny Smith took a little longer to get soft .

I made these up and kept the glaze to the side for those who wanted it. I found they had great apple flavor and had great consistency without the glaze too!
