Strawberry Cheesecake French Toast
.
Say Hello to the most decadent breakfast anyone could ask for. I mean just look how beautiful this Strawberry Cheesecake French Toast is!! As beautiful as this plate of wonderful is it taste even better. When was the last time you had french toast that the syrup was optional? Seriously,I love syrup as much as the next person but this strawberry cream cheese filling is so yummy all by itself. This breakfast/brunch is so simple you will want it all the time but it is good enough for those special occasions like Mother’s Day or Easter Brunch.
I used my go to bread for this Strawberry Cheesecake French Toast which is Brioche but any bread of your choice will work. Brioche or Challah has an almost sweet flavor on it’s own so I tend to lean towards those breads . French bread sliced into thick slices would be a perfect selection if those other two options are not available but making it your own is what makes a recipe special. This is pretty easy to make but if you have never made French Toast before check out my Brioche French toast for a good basic recipe.
First start off by making the cheesecake stuffing. Dice 1/2 cup of strawberries and in a small bowl mix in a tablespoon of granulated sugar .Let the sugar sit for 10 minutes. Evenly Distribute the cheesecake mixture 6 pieces of bread. Sandwich two pieces of bread together and gently press them together making 3 sandwiches (Optional you can add extra sliced strawberries in the middle). Heat a skillet up on medium heat with a little butter. Dip One sandwich at a time in the egg mixture coating each side and letting excess drip off . Cook on medium heat about 4 to 5 minutes on each side or until golden brown
In a shallow dish beat together the two eggs, heavy cream, vanilla and sugar. Evenly Distribute the cheesecake mixture on 6 pieces of bread. Cook on medium heat about 4 to 5 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
To serve slice in half and sprinkle with powdered sugar. At this point you can add whipped or serve with syrup . If you have extra strawberries some on the side are nice as well.
Enjoy!!

This recipe takes regular French toast to another level. Especially when I usually just pile them on top before serving. Great way to take advantage of the Florida strawberry season! Thank you for sharing.

Eleven “reviews”. It appears one person actually made the recipe before rating it or commenting. “Looks great” “Can’t wait to try” “The kids are going to go bonkers” are not reviews. They are not relevant. Please try this awesome reciepe and tell us what you think!
I have had plenty of feed back on other platforms on this recipe ,
There are mistakes in this recipe. There is not quantity given for the whipping cream in the French toast custard. The instructions say to distribute the filling on 6 slices of bread to make 3 sandwiches, yet the ingredients state only 4 slices of bread.
I am sorry it is a bit confusing but the directions are correct . The filling is spread on both sides of the bread for the sandwiches so filling will be on both sides of the strawberries. I have this recipe on my list to create of video for , maybe that will clear up the confusion. I added a photo I had with in the post to that step .
