Candied Cinnamon Almonds

Let’s Make Candied Cinnamon Almonds !

Preheat oven to 250 degrees and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper . In a large mixing bowl beat eggs whites, vanilla and water . Beat until frothy with a hand mixer .

Fold in both sugars and cinnamon .

Add the almonds and coat well

Spread in a single layer on a parchment lined baking sheet . Baked for 1 hour and 15 minutes in the preheated oven stirring every 15 minutes

Once done make sure none of the almonds are sticking to one another and let cool completely.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups almonds (unsalted) or your favorite nut
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 2 Tablespoon s cinnamon
  • 2 Large egg whites
  • 2 Teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 Tablespoons water

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 250 degrees and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper
  • In a Large mixing bowl mix the egg whites, vanilla and water . Beat until frothy with a hand mixer .
  • Gently fold in both sugars and cinnamons into the egg white mixture
  • Add the almonds to the bowl and coat them well
  • Pour almonds onto the prepared baking sheet in a single layer
  • Bake the preheated oven for 1 hour stirring every 15 minutes
  • After 1 hour and 15 minutes removes the almonds from the oven and stir to make sure all the nuts are broken apart . Let cool completely
  • Store in an air tight container for 2 weeks at room temp or up to four weeks in the fridge .

How long are these nuts good for ?

If stored at room temp they are good in a sealed container for up to 2 weeks . In the fridge up to 4 weeks .

Can I use other nuts besides almonds ?

Yes , you can use any nut for this recipe . Just make sure the nut is not salted .

Can I use other spices ?

Yes you can add what ever spiced you like to bake with like nutmeg or all spice
